Armstrong FTV-8GS Flo-Trex Valve – 8" Grooved Straight
The Armstrong FTV-8GS Flo-Trex valve is a ductile iron Flo-Trex valve with grooved ends, 8" straight pattern. A Flo-Trex valve is installed on the discharge side of a pump and combines three valves in one body: a non-slam check valve, a tight shut-off valve and a calibrated balancing (throttling) valve with metering ports for flow measurement. Replacing three separate fittings with one reduces equipment cost, installation labour and the space needed in the mechanical room.

- Seat gasket & O-ring: EPDM
- Stem: Stainless steel, ASTM A582 type 416
- Spring: Stainless steel, ASTM A313 type 302
- Bonnet O-ring: Buna N
- Metering ports (2): NPT brass body with EPT check and gasketed cap
- Drain tappings (2): ¼" with brass plug
- Armgrip™ flange adapter (optional): Ductile iron, ASTM A536 grade 65-45-12, with EPT gaskets

Notes
- Pressure-temperature limits depend on the end connection: (A) Armgrip ductile iron flange adapters for ANSI 150# flanges, (B) Armgrip ductile iron flange adapters for ANSI 300# flanges, or (C) grooved ends with a 375 psi rated pipe coupling. B and C carry the higher rating – see the pressure-temperature chart in the submittal.
- EPT elastomers are not suitable for oil service.
