An Armstrong suction guide mounts directly on the suction side of a centrifugal pump. It turns the flow 90°, straightens it with internal guide vanes and strains out debris before it reaches the impeller – replacing an elbow, a separate strainer and the straight run of pipe normally recommended ahead of the pump inlet. The result is a smaller footprint in the mechanical room, fewer fittings to install and smoother flow into the pump.
