Power packs are electric pump motors that are used in both Bell & Gossett and Armstrong pumps. The motors have a 1/2" shaft and special mounting flanged that allign with bearing assemblies. The Bell & Gossett motors have bushings that need to be oiled on start up. These bushings make the motors superior to the Armstrong counterparts as they last longer and offer a smother and quiter operation which is very important for residents nearby the mechanical rooms.
