Armstrong AET 42x96 ASME Plain Steel Expansion Tank – 525 gal (1987 L)
The Armstrong AET 42x96 is an ASME plain steel expansion tank (compression tank) for closed hydronic systems, including high-temperature systems up to 450°F. It has an NPT system connection, gauge glass tappings and a drain, with a base ring for vertical installation or optional saddles for horizontal mounting. Tank volume is 525 gal (1987 L), rated for a maximum working pressure of 125 psi (862 kPa).

Notes
- Not for domestic potable water systems.
- Designed and constructed per ASME Section VIII, Division 1.
- Gauge tappings included (gauge and fittings by others).
- Plugged inspection openings (qty 2, 2.0" each) on 175 to 505 gallon tanks.
- An inspection manhole (12" × 16") is furnished on the 525 gallon tank.
- Stand ring is not provided on AET 36×120 and AET 42×96.
