Armstrong SGHH-325 Suction Guide – 3" x 2-1/2" ANSI 250 Flanged (516860-218)
The Armstrong SGHH-325 suction guide (part number 516860-218) is the high-pressure ANSI 250 flanged version of the Armstrong suction guide. Installed at the suction side of a centrifugal pump, it turns the flow 90°, straightens it with internal guide vanes and strains out debris before it reaches the pump. With a 3" inlet and 2-1/2" outlet, it replaces an elbow, strainer and straight run of pipe in one compact fitting. It is rated for 375 psi and 300°F, with a ductile iron body and guide vanes and a stainless steel strainer.

Installation, Maintenance, Parts Kits & Manuals
- Companion flanges are not included.
- Support the suction guide with a 0.94" (24 mm) support pipe (dimension ØH), supplied by the contractor.
- Leave at least 4.75" (121 mm) clearance (dimension G) to withdraw the strainer for cleaning.
- Remove the fine mesh start-up strainer after 1 week of operation.
- The 1/4" NPT inlet gauge tapping is supplied plugged.
